Intellijel’s Ambient Modular Patch: Morphing Textures with Atlantix, Metropolix & Co.

Intellijel’s latest YouTube walkthrough is a deep dive into the possibilities of an ambient modular patch. With a rig centred around the Atlantix and Metropolix, the video explores how to wring evolving textures and lush soundscapes from a carefully constructed signal chain. There’s a strong focus on distributing pitch, gates and CV using Shifty, creative sequencing via Metropolix’s mod lanes, and layering in live grains and momentary effects for subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) sonic movement. If your modular leanings edge toward the atmospheric, this one’s a masterclass in patch choreography.

Intellijel Atlantix: Drum Synthesis Without the Hype

Intellijel’s Atlantix module is pitched as a complete synthesizer voice, but in this official walkthrough, the focus shifts to its percussive prowess. The video, delivered in Intellijel’s trademark hands-on style, demonstrates how Atlantix can cover the full drum kit spectrum—from kicks to claps—without relying on external processing. What you hear is what you get: raw, unvarnished analogue drum tones, with only the occasional shimmer of Sealegs delay and reverb. For those curious about squeezing maximum utility from a single module, this is a practical, patch-oriented showcase that hints at even deeper rhythmic rabbit holes to come.
